On the hottest day of the year in 2020 it’s a shame that summer weddings have been put on hold. Covid – 19 has had a devastating effect on one of the busiest wedding weekends of the year. With things soon opening back up we could be seeing a huge resurgence of the UK’s best dressed. A question that always plagues the summer wedding crew is how to stay cool and keep those sweat patches away?
What Outfit Do I Wear?
Summer weddings always seem to bring the best dressed guests with some stunning outfits. Choosing something that looks stylish and comfortable at the same time can be tricky. Make sure that you choose a light material so it allows the cool summer breeze to pass through. There is nothing worse that sitting through a wedding ceremony and profusely sweating. A good choice for men would be to wear a waist coat instead of a jacket. This way you can still look good and breath at the same time!
Can I Get You A Drink?
What is more refreshing on a hot summer’s day than an ice cold pint? If you want to stay nice and cool it may not be the best drink of choice. I know, I know it’s criminal to say stay away from the alcohol but it does dehydrate you after all so try and choose a nice refreshing beverage such as elderflower with some ice or good old plain water! The perfect summer weddings saviour.
Would You Like To Dance?
There is no doubt in my mind that the hottest place on the wedding day is the dance floor. You have all the lights from the band shining and moving bodies to Kings of Leon but it’s one of the best aspects of summer weddings. It’s a time where people can let loose after a long day and enjoy themselves with no hang ups because we know that everybody is in the same boat as us. Just make sure that you’ve used a really good aftershave because you don’t want to be the main topic the day after!
